A brief look at the tour for I Anthem's new record, West of Homeland. In this mini documentary, you'll meet the band, view some live footage and ride along in the van along their journey. I Anthem toured the east coast of the US with stops in Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia and Ohio. They were also able to mark a few venues off of their "Bucket Lists" including The Hard Rock in Atlanta. The guys also have quite the coffee addiction and found numerous locally owned and operated coffee shops from Jacksonville, Tampa, Charlotte, Florence, Columbia, Boynton Beach and many others.

"West of Homeland," is our first full-length record as a band. When we set out to make this album, the goal was to write a cohesive record with no filler tracks. The songs also needed to be honest about where we are as individuals and as a group. For us, I Anthem is very much a "dream", and dreams will always be vulnerable. Everyone reaches that moment in life when you begin to question your purpose. These moments attack our dreams, even faith. Hope is the antidote. Hope does not erase fear or doubts but provides a way to overcome them. It gives us the ability to believe in the things unseen. Our band continues to write and play music because we believe music can inspire hope. Dreams, love, faith, and life are all beautiful things that are sustained by hope. Our hope is that these songs will inspire the individuals who dare to dream.

  • With the release of the first LP, "West of Homeland," I Anthem is already finding a pulse in rock audiences and radio with their Billboard top 10 single Enemy and top 15 single Fighting Gravity. "This record is special to us because we have always dreamed of making a full-length that we felt had no filler tracks. So, the opportunity to make a full record that was completely funded by our fans is a huge honor and dream come true," frontman, Tyler Edwards said.

Since founding members Edwards and drummer, Tyler Bodkins, began in 2009, the South Carolina based rock band has stayed true to pursuing that vision with heavy touring of the East Coast and the release of two EPs “The Things Our Eye’s Can’t See,” (2010) and “Not Afraid Not Alone,” (2011). The newest record reveals that the rock band has found their true sound through a cohesive and powerful combination of overdriven guitars, infectious melodies, and relentless grooves. A theme of hope resounds throughout the record in lyrics that empower dreaming and fighting for more. "I have always wondered why we force ourselves to suppress our ability and desire to dream as life progresses." Edwards remarked, "What is it that steals the enchantment and thrill of our youth?" The band has never shied away from using music as an open door to conversations about hope, faith, love, and doubt. "We want our music to be an encouragement and to help somebody," lead guitarist, Nick Webb stated. I Anthem continues to be transparent in their music and lyrics, and honest music will always find a way to give a voice to those who can not find the words to speak.
